Structured culture

The quality of mankind
What is the trait of human beings?

Mainstream North American culture is positive insofar as it is taken for granted that whatever achievement is possible if worked for, and that humanity is ultimately perfectible - as the millions of self-help publications and videos marketed every year show.

But this assumption of perfectibility does not signify that the North American is as hopeful about his/her inverse numbers in day-to-day confrontations. The construct that the negotiating group regularly includes legal personnel implies concern that the opposite party will renege on an understanding if given a loophole.

Some Europeans occupy a more negative approach towards human nature. They present a greater mistrust of experts, and take for granted that human motives are more interwoven than do Americans. This is mirrored in a predilection for more convoluted cognitive patterns of behavior and hence more convoluted structures than are established in North American social groups.

Relation to trait
What is the individual's relationship to trait?

Up until newly, America culture has by and large realized the human as disjoint from nature, and titled to employ it. Such activities as mining, diking rivers for hydro-electrical power, analysing and preparation to control weather structures, genetical technology, all exhibit a need for authority.

However of late, the populace has become more cognizant of needs to preserve the environment, and this is echolike in corporate marketing plans of action and the development of "recyclable" and "biodegradable" products.

More often than not, perceptions of authority are reflected in a readiness to oversee human psychology, and human relationships. An example is supplied by policy configured to adjust a structured culture.

In comparing, Arab culture tends to be highly fatalistic towards efforts to change or better the world. Mankind can do petty on its own to achieve success or deflect adversity.
